MEHDI-GEORGES LAHLOU in Berlin festival

Tonight is the premier of the Berlin festival Return To Sender at HAU – Hebbel Am Ufer to which Mehdi-Georges Lahlou is one of the invited artists.

The festival is working with the idea that leading European authorities met in Berlin in the end of the 1800’s to agree on colonizing Africa and the consequences the colonization still has today. Six coreographers from six African countries have been invited to eloborate around the history of foreign occupatioin of their specific country. Each artist has then invited one additional artist from their country. The program consists of performances, lectures, discussions, DJ sessions and more.
